Olivia Doughart (she/her)
BSc (Kin), R.Ac
(Registered Acupuncturist)
Olivia is a registered acupuncturist with a passion for helping others and a keen interest in the human body and healthcare.
With a strong athletic background, she pursued a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology at the University of Prince Edward Island while playing varsity hockey.
As a kinesiologist, she was introduced to acupuncture and its incredible benefits. She learned how acupuncture helps with a variety of conditions, both physical and mental. This discovery led her to pursue a career in acupuncture. In addition to her bachelor’s degree, she has a diploma in acupuncture from The Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Halifax, NS.
She is continually amazed by her work as there is always something new to discover and build on. She admires how acupuncture considers all aspects of an individual and how treatment plans can be specialized to the patient. Seeing her patients experience the positive effects and relief from acupuncture brings her joy.
She incorporates Western and Eastern backgrounds into treatment, focusing on finding the root of the health issue and taking the whole patient into consideration. She is dedicated to providing quality care, comfort and a healing environment to my patients.
She loves being able to offer treatment to those who have limited options otherwise. Olivia is excited to be a part of Pelvico to help provide care for women and patients with pelvic/orthopedic conditions.
