Maria Radelich (she/her)
BKine(H), MScPT, Pre and Post Natal Specialist
(Co-founder, Physiotherapist)
Maria is a Physiotherapist who completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology with Honours from Acadia University and went on to complete her Masters in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University.
Maria Radelich found her passion for sport and rehabilitation at a young age as an elite soccer player who experienced injuries herself.
She went on to work as an athletic trainer with the varsity men’s soccer team at Acadia University and the University of King’s College women’s basketball team. Since that time, she has trained and treated athletes from rugby, football, hockey, ultimate frisbee and volleyball.
Although sports injury is a major focus for Maria, she completed a clinical rotation in pelvic health, where she learned to integrate her knowledge of athletics to assist people with pelvic health dysfunctions. She then went on to complete her Pelvic Health post-graduate certificates to be certified to provide pelvic health exams and treatments.
After completing her pelvic health certifications, Maria realized that many women and men didn’t really understand the bodies core system or how to rehabilitate it after injury or having a baby.
This is where Pelvico was born!
Maria wanted to find ways she could help those of all body types and dysfunction to work out in a way that was mindful of the core systems and ultimately do exercise and physical activity they love!
One of her favourite groups to work with are postpartum moms learning about their bodies again and returning to exercise like running, CrossFit, weight lifting and sports!
Maria believes that no one should be limited by pelvic dysfunction and considers various treatment options to help her patients continue to live a healthy lifestyle. Maria will work with you to achieve your goals through specific and functional exercises, soft tissue release techniques, joint mobilization, acupuncture and dry needling.
