Alanna Blanchard is a compassionate Clinical Social Worker committed to promoting parental mental health and fostering well-being across the lifespan.
Alanna’s dedication extends to supporting individuals and families through various life transitions and challenges, with a particular focus on maternal health, postpartum support, and prenatal mental wellness.
Drawing from her experience in addressing diverse mental health challenges, Alanna seamlessly transitions her focus to provide support for adults and adolescents through risk management, crisis stabilization, and therapeutic interventions.
Rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy and guided by a client-centered approach, Alanna works collaboratively with individuals, couples, and families at all stages of life. She places special emphasis on maternal mental health but is equally equipped to address a range of concerns, including stress, depression, anxiety, adjustment, grief and relationship issues.
Alanna holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Waterloo, complemented by a robust educational background in Psychology and Social Work from Dalhousie University. With a commitment to empowerment and holistic well-being, she offers individual therapy sessions and guidance to partners and families.
By integrating strengths-based approaches and promoting mindfulness and self-care, Alanna equips her clients with the tools they need to navigate life’s complexities with confidence and resilience.
